Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has won the 2025 Ballon d’Or, claiming football’s most prestigious individual prize at the ceremony held in Paris on Monday night.
The French international was rewarded for an outstanding 2024/25 season in which he scored 35 goals and provided 16 assists across all competitions.
His performances were central to PSG’s historic campaign, as the club lifted the UEFA Champions League for the first time, alongside winning the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France.
Dembélé finished ahead of Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal and several other top contenders to secure the award.
The recognition marks the pinnacle of the 28-year-old’s career, coming after years of injuries and setbacks earlier in his career.
His victory also continues PSG’s growing dominance on the world stage, following the club’s sweep of major team honours in 2025 and winning the Ballon d’Or team of the season.
