Former senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Kabir Marafa, has refuted the claim that he has returned to the All Progressives Congress.

Marafa described the claim as false, urging Nigerians to disregard it.

The report, published by an online platform alleged that Marafa had rejoined the ruling party alongside his supporters.

However, the former lawmaker, who also served as Zamfara State Campaign Coordinator for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, said the claim was “fake, baseless and deliberately misleading.”

This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Director-General (New Media), Media Office of Marafa, Mansur Haruna.

Marafa, who served in the Senate between 2011 and 2019, stated that he formally exited the APC on August 28, 2025, alongside thousands of his supporters across the 14 local government areas of Zamfara State.

The former senator recalled that he accused the party of using and dumping him and his supporters at the time of his resignation.
