The president claimed the U.S. has struck over 7,000 targets and sunk more than 100 naval vessels since operations began Feb. 28.
President Donald Trump declared today that American forces have struck more than 7,000 targets across Iran and sunk over 100 Iranian naval vessels since the launch of Operation Epic Fury on February 28, as the conflict entered its 17th day with no diplomatic resolution in sight.
Speaking at the White House ahead of a lunch with Kennedy Center board members, Trump said the campaign had reduced Iran to a “paper tiger” in two weeks and that its military had been “obliterated”.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt echoed those claims in appearances on Fox News , telling reporters, “We’ve now hit more than 7,000 targets.
We’ve sunk more than 100 of their naval vessels. We are completely annihilating their Navy, and their ballistic missile and drone strikes against the United States are down 95%”.
