The United States is speeding up a new military deployment to the Middle East, sending about 4,000 troops including 2,500 Marines from the West Coast as tensions heighten over the ongoing war with Iran.

According to four U.S. officials cited by Newsmax, the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are deploying earlier than planned, currently transiting through the Indo-Pacific en route to the region. The move is part of the Pentagon’s broader strategy to reinforce U.S. presence and firepower in the area.

The deployment involves the USS Boxer, an amphibious assault ship often described as a small aircraft carrier, alongside USS Portland and USS Comstock, both designed for amphibious landings and troop transport.
Officials say this operation is separate from previous troop movements, representing an additional surge in amphibious and rapid-response capabilities as Washington signals growing military readiness in response to regional instability.
