Social media was thrown into panic on Monday following reports of the alleged kidnapping of a Nigerian Juju musician, Omoba De Jombo Beats, and his band members on Sunday.
The distressing news, circulating widely on the internet, indicated that the singer and his band were abducted while returning from an event.
Adeyinka Adeboye, also known as Boyebest, a Nigerian musician, took to Instagram to sound the alarm about the incident, captioning his post with, ““A whole band of members kidnapped. Nigeria is messed up. I swear my prayers are with you guys. You will all come out alive.”
The abduction supposedly occurred after the group’s live performance at an event in Abuja over the weekend.
In an update, Boyebest revealed that the kidnappers are demanding a N10 million ransom for their release.
The unsettling news has triggered widespread concern and prayers for the safe return of the abducted musician and his band members.
