Dangote Refinery is reportedly positioning for a major capital-market debut, with a proposed ₦525 per share IPO aimed at raising approximately $1.5 billion.
The proposed listing could make the refinery one of the most closely watched new equity offerings in Nigeria, giving investors the opportunity to participate in the ownership of a landmark energy asset.
At ₦525 per share, the investment threshold varies significantly depending on the number of shares purchased:
Shares Investment
100 ₦52,500
1,000 ₦525,000
10,000 ₦5.25 million
100,000 ₦52.5 million
For retail investors, the proposed 100-share parcel would represent an entry point of ₦52,500, while larger allocations would require substantially higher capital.
The reported $1.5 billion target also places the proposed transaction among potentially significant equity offerings in Nigeria. The final pricing, offer structure and timing, however, remain subject to the necessary regulatory processes and formal IPO documentation.
