Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, is poised to start in the AFCON quarter-finals clash against Angola after being declared fit.

The Chippa United goalkeeper, who completed Thursday’s training session amid fitness concerns, has reportedly been confirmed to start the crucial match.

Super Eagles Media Officer Babafemi Raji, speaking on Channels TV, assured fans of Nwabali’s readiness: “He trained yesterday. He trained a day before yesterday. But yesterday was much more intense…he is very much available for selection for today’s match.”

Having conceded just once in four appearances during the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, Nwabali has won hearts with his stellar performances.
