The Rector of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, Prof. Sunday Gozie Ogbodo, has announced that all courses offered by the institution are now fully accredited, marking a major milestone in the school’s academic development.
Speaking during the maiden IMT Global Homecoming 2026, Prof. Ogbodo revealed that his administration has cleared the backlog of expired accreditations and introduced new programmes, including Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Locomotive Engineering, Taxation, and a Diploma in Law.
The rector also highlighted the institution’s “One Diploma, One Skill” initiative, designed to equip students with practical vocational skills alongside their academic qualifications, enabling them to become self-reliant and job creators after graduation.
He further disclosed plans for an aviation school in collaboration with the Enugu State Government, while noting that IMT has expanded its partnerships with universities and is making strides in innovation, including the production of an indigenous transformer.
Meanwhile, the IMT Alumni Association pledged continued support for the institution, including scholarships for outstanding students and funding for campus beautification projects.
