Three suspected kidnappers were reportedly arrested at Ihotu Park in Benue State after a woman allegedly recognized them as members of the group that had earlier abducted her.
According to reports, the suspects were attempting to board a vehicle to Makurdi when the woman identified both the men and a bag allegedly taken from her during the abduction. She reportedly raised an alarm and held on to one of the suspects, while two others attempted to flee but were later apprehended.
A Ghana-Must-Go bag said to contain about ₦11 million was reportedly recovered from the vehicle. The park manager alerted security personnel, prompting a response from police officers and soldiers.
The suspects and the complainant were taken into police custody, while the case was reportedly transferred to Makurdi for further investigation. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement confirming the allegations.
