The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme has launched the State Service Delivery Transparency Initiative (SSDTI) in Anambra State to strengthen transparency, accountability and efficiency in public service delivery.

The initiative was unveiled during a capacity-building programme for members of the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, with officials urging participants to focus on improving the quality of services delivered to citizens rather than relying solely on conventional anti-corruption measures.

Speaking at the event, RoLAC State Coordinator, Josephine Onah, said the initiative would establish clear service standards and multiple layers of oversight to ensure Ministries, Departments and Agencies deliver quality services.

She disclosed that Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital and Okpuno Primary Health Centre have been selected as pilot institutions before the programme is expanded across the state.

Lead Consultant to RoLAC, Ada Chidi Igbokwe, stressed the need for continuous monitoring and accountability, noting that improved service delivery is essential to rebuilding public trust and enhancing governance.
