Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Maiduguri Zonal Directorate, have arrested Nuhu Dahiru for allegedly impersonating an EFCC operative and obtaining ₦3 million by false pretence.
The suspect was arrested at Tashan Bama, along Bama Road in Maiduguri, Borno State, following credible intelligence that he had been presenting himself as an EFCC officer and defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
The EFCC said ₦3 million was recovered from Dahiru during his arrest.
The commission said investigations are ongoing and the suspect will be charged to court after the investigation is concluded.
