A Nigerian Army Special Forces commander, Colonel Ishaya Manga, has extended humanitarian support to vulnerable residents and victims of insecurity in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Manga, who has been involved in military operations against Boko Haram terrorists in parts of the state, distributed food items and cash assistance to elderly people, persons living with disabilities and other less-privileged residents.
The humanitarian gesture attracted appreciation from residents, who gathered to receive the items and commended the officer for combining his military responsibilities with support for vulnerable members of the community.

The beneficiaries included residents affected by insecurity and others facing economic hardship.
