President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is hosting Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, on a courtesy visit at his official residence in the State House, Abuja.
Mahama arrived at the President’s residence around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, marking his first visit to his Nigerian counterpart since his inauguration on January 7, 2025.
The ongoing meeting is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Ghana, as well as addressing key regional issues within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Both leaders are set to explore areas of mutual cooperation in trade, security, and economic development.
Mahama previously visited Tinubu at the State House on December 17, 2024, shortly after his election victory on December 7. Tinubu had expressed optimism that Mahama’s return to leadership would enhance stability within ECOWAS.
