In a follow-up to the case of the 10-year-old boy allegedly abused by his guardian in Awada, Obosi, the Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has visited the child at the hospital alongside the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike.
During the visit, Mrs. Soludo received updates on the boy’s condition and held discussions with his cousin, who revealed that the child’s mother resides in Enugu State and that the boy had been living with the alleged guardian since January 2026.
The cousin further stated that the family had no prior relationship with the woman accused of abusing the child.
Concerned about the boy’s health and recovery, the First Lady directed that he be transferred to a better-equipped medical facility for improved treatment and care.
The visit underscores the state government’s commitment to protecting vulnerable children and ensuring that justice is served in cases of child abuse.
