José Mourinho has reaffirmed his deep connection with Real Madrid after being officially presented as the club’s new head coach, telling supporters that he considers himself one of them and has remained a Madridista since his previous departure.
Speaking during his presentation, Mourinho made it clear that his return to Real Madrid is about more than simply taking charge of the team. The Portuguese coach stressed his personal attachment to the club and his belief that everyone at Valdebebas must share the same commitment to Real Madrid.
“I am here to work for Real Madrid. This is what I want everyone to follow,” Mourinho said.

“I want everyone that enters Valdebebas to feel it, that we are working for Real Madrid,” he added.
Mourinho then delivered a message aimed directly at the Madridistas, emphasising that he does not view himself as an outsider returning to the club.
“I am ONE OF YOU,” Mourinho declared. “I am a MADRIDISTA, and I’ve ALWAYS been since I left.”
