The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has vehemently rejected media reports alleging the looting of its warehouse in Abuja, adamantly asserting that the facility in question is not under its ownership.
Issuing a resolute statement on Sunday via the NEMA Press Unit, shared across the agency’s official channels, NEMA pushed back against the swirling accusations.
“The attention of the National Emergency Management Agency has been drawn to media reports on Sunday alleging that the Agency’s warehouse was looted by some hoodlums in Abuja,” the statement reads, setting the record straight on the contentious matter.
Seeking to dispel any lingering doubts, NEMA clarified, “This is to clarify that the looted warehouse does not belong to NEMA. However, the Agency sympathizes with owners of the looted facility.”
In a bold display of proactive leadership, Director General Mustapha Habib Ahmed wasted no time in taking decisive action, issuing directives to Zonal Directors and Heads of Operations to fortify security measures in and around NEMA’s offices and warehouses nationwide.
