Nollywood actress Judy Austin has publicly responded to allegations made by her former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, offering her account of their relationship and family history.
In a recent statement, Judy said she met actor Yul Edochie for the first time on a movie set in 2016 and credited veteran actor Sylvester Madu, rather than Yul, for encouraging her acting career.
She also claimed that her marriage to Obasi ended in 2013 and alleged that their children lived with her mother for several years before relocating to Enugu.
Addressing issues surrounding the children, Judy maintained that Obasi had limited contact with them over the years and alleged that he failed to pursue legal channels regarding visitation and child support.
The actress further warned bloggers and social media users against spreading what she described as false information about her and her family, stating that she is considering legal action against those involved.
Judy also indicated her intention to challenge some of Obasi’s claims in court, marking her first detailed public response to the allegations that have generated widespread attention on social media.
As of the time of this report, Emmanuel Obasi has not publicly responded to Judy Austin’s latest statements.
