Retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme took to the streets of Abuja, protesting months of unpaid pensions.
The protesters, who arrived from various state chapters, voiced their frustration over the hardships caused by PENCOM’s failure to disburse their entitlements. They are calling on the Federal Government to exempt them from the contributory pension scheme.
In a video shared on Channels TV’s X handle on Tuesday, the retirees can be seen holding placards and chanting, “All we are saying give us our right.”
