Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, has assured the South East geopolitical zone that under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, their interests will be well taken care of without any cause for concern.
Akpabio stressed the federal government’s confidence in the South East’s leadership, affirming that the region has nothing to fear.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving/Empowerment program in Ebonyi State, Akpabio, represented by Senator Jibrin Barau, urged the people of the region to remain calm, ensuring that President Tinubu’s administration will duly attend to the needs of the South East.
Akpabio expressed President Tinubu’s commitment to a fair distribution of projects across all zones, saying, “You can see the confidence the president has in the leadership of the South East, so feel at home. The South East is going to be taken care of by Mr President including North Central, South South, North East, and Nigeria at large.
“And it is going to be done in a manner that no one will ever be left behind in the distribution of the nation’s wealth,” he said.”O
The occasion also saw Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi handing over 78 bungalows to the less privileged in his senatorial district and providing cars to four APC local government chairmen in his constituency, along with the clergy associated with St Michael’s Catholic Parish Mbeke Ishieke.
