Former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, has officially resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and rejoined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Shekarau announced his defection on Sunday at his residence in Kano, recording a significant return to the party he once played a key role in.
His move is expected to further reshape political alignments in Kano and within the national political landscape ahead of 2027 elections.
