Former Taraba State Governor, Rev. Jolly Tavoro Nyame, in a remarkable revelation, shared his enlightenment gained from his time in Kuje Prison and a hospital, affirming his readiness for a more capable leadership role if granted another opportunity to lead the state.

During a thanksgiving service at the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) secretariat in Jalingo, Nyame expressed gratitude for the invaluable lessons learned during his incarceration, emphasizing that the experience had transformed him into a more insightful potential leader for Taraba State.

“I learned a lot while in Kuje Prison and in the hospital. If given another opportunity to lead the people of Taraba State, I will do better because of the experience I have gained,” Nyame said

Asserting the politically motivated nature of his four-year imprisonment out of a 14-year sentence, he spoke of the pivotal role of faith and resilience, urging leaders to stand firm amid challenges.

He extended a message of hope and unity to Nigerians, stressing the essence of prayer and faith in the nation’s future while advocating for prudent spending among citizens and prioritized policies from the government to uplift lives.

Rev. Isaiah Magaji Jirapiye, the State Chairman of CAN, praised Nyame’s story of personal growth as a source of inspiration for those facing adversity, highlighting the potential for reflection, transformation, and positive change even in challenging times.
